In an interview General Viktor Yakovlev, commander of the Strategic Rocket Forc-
es says. "Well, I think astrology is a quite serious science. It helps us launch space-
craft, missiles; we use it broadly to forestall suicides among the personnel. Experi-
ence shows it is unreasonable to reject it. Our estimates and forecasts are usually
corroborated up to 70-75 percent."
The Russian Defense Ministry's General Staff routinely analyses astrological
predictions of future extraordinary occurrences.
